Frequently Asked Questions for Aesthetic Treatments
Many health insurance plans do not include weight loss surgery unless you are personally approved. The approval process depends on your meeting specific requirements to deem weight loss surgery necessary. These can include meeting a set body mass index rating, having sleep apnea, coronary heart disease, or Type 2 diabetes. In addition, patients may need to participate in a multidisciplinary surgical preparatory regimen to prove that they have already attempted to lose weight and have been unsuccessful in their efforts.
The advantage of providing personalized weight loss plans is that anyone can benefit from them. Whatever your age is, whether you have comorbid health conditions or dietary restrictions, if you’re ready to follow our recommendations and work to lose weight, then this service is for you.
The amount of time you need to reach your ideal weight depends on your current weight, the methods used to lose weight, your commitment to the program, and the characteristics of your body. During your first appointment, we can give you an estimate of how long it’ll take to lose a certain number of pounds. But remember that it’s better to spend time building habits that will help you become and stay healthy than gaining weight back as fast as you lose it.
The Right Spinal Clinic will be with you throughout the process. You will have a team of professionals who will support and encourage you to reach your wellness goals.
Our physicians will meet with you weekly to monitor your progress and optimize your weight loss plan as needed.
Laser hair removal is generally considered safe when performed by a licensed and trained professional right here at The Right Spinal Clinic. However, as with any medical procedure, there are some risks and potential side effects, such as pain, redness, and skin irritation.
In rare cases, burns, scarring, or changes in skin color may occur. To minimize the risk of complications, it is important to choose a reputable provider and to follow all pre- and post-treatment instructions.
Laser hair removal targets hair follicles with tiny high-heat laser beams. While you may not feel the heat, you may feel like your skin is being snapped with a rubber band. You may also experience minor discomfort after the procedure, such as redness and irritation similar to a mild sunburn. But it typically causes much less discomfort than other types of hair removal, such as waxing.
Some people may see permanent hair loss after several sessions, while others may need some maintenance treatments to keep hair growth at bay.
Typically, a series of 6 to 8 laser hair removal sessions are needed to achieve optimal results. These sessions are usually spaced 4-8 weeks apart.
After the initial series of treatments, some people may need occasional touch-up sessions to maintain their results depending on the individual's hair growth patterns, hormones, and other factors.
In the past, laser hair removal only worked for people with light skin and dark hair. However, technologies have developed. Now you can get your hair removed with laser light regardless of your hair or skin color. A specific type of laser light will be used depending on your skin and hair type. But don't worry! Our clinic has the knowledge and experience to perform safe and effective laser hair removal.
There don't appear to be any long-term health risks associated with the procedure. However, some people may experience minor side effects after laser hair removal. Ask your dermatologist to test how a small patch of skin reacts to the treatment before having it done on a larger skin area.
Most people do not need to do anything special to prepare for cryotherapy on the skin. Just wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. You'll be asked to remove most of your clothes for the treatment, so wear something that you don't mind taking off and that is easy to put back on after the session.
- Avoid applying lotions or creams to your skin before the treatment. These products can interfere with the effectiveness of cryotherapy.
- Don't wear any jewelry or watches. These items can become very cold during the treatment and could cause injury to your skin. You can remove any jewelry in the changing area before your session.
- Drink plenty of water before and after the treatment. Cryotherapy can cause your body to lose fluids, so it's important to stay hydrated.
Whole-body cryotherapy sessions take only a few minutes.
The risks of cryotherapy are small, but complications can occur. These complications may include:
- Bleeding, cramping, or pain after cryotherapy around the cervix.
- Bone fractures.
- Nerve damage resulting in loss of feeling.
- Swelling, scarring, and skin infection.
During the cryotherapy session, your body can burn hundreds of calories in minutes, boosting your metabolism to increase the temperature of your body. After the session, your boosted metabolism will keep working, helping you burn calories faster and lose weight more effectively.
Women must wear undergarments, while men should wear briefs. It’s also advisable to wear gloves, socks, boots, and a robe.
Whole-body cryotherapy exposes your body to very cold temperatures for a short time. The cold helps with inflammation and reduces your pain or other symptoms.
IV drip therapy brings vitamins and minerals directly into your bloodstream. This treatment shows results faster and more effectively than any other method.
Our treatments are conducted by trained professionals, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the procedure. It is rare for a patient to develop an allergic reaction since we require a consultation with our providers before your first session. They make sure that you don't have any adverse reactions to the drips and that the amount provided is right for you.
As with any medication, IV therapy can cause side effects for some people. That’s why it’s so important to receive treatment from qualified staff who can monitor your body’s reactions.
Each IV therapy session usually lasts from 30 minutes to an hour.
You can choose from our various IV drip infusions. Each of our IV drips has a different purpose. Check them out here!
Ozempic (semaglutide) is a new treatment for type 2 diabetes that can also aid with weight loss, appetite suppression, and lower blood pressure levels.
Ozempic is not insulin but a type of diabetes medicine called GLP-1. It is a small protein-like insulin (called a peptide), and because proteins are easily broken down by stomach acids, which would make the protein inactive, both insulin and Ozempic (Semaglutide) need to be injected under the skin.
Like all types of medications, there are possible side effects from taking Ozempic. Many of the side effects are mild, which means that they can be uncomfortable but aren’t likely to do any damage.
Nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, or constipation may occur. Nausea usually lessens as you continue to take this medication. If any of these effects last long or get worse, tell your physician promptly.
The following conditions are contraindicated with Semaglutide. Check with your physician if you have any of the following conditions:
- Diabetic retinopathy, any type of damage to the eye from diabetes
- Low blood sugar
- Disease of the gallbladder
- Acute inflammation of the pancreas
- Decreased kidney function
- Medullary thyroid cancer
- Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2
- Family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma
- Kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function
